1984 Fiero AS IS -- $500

   I'm not sure if anyone remembers me, but I've been here for a while, and I always made posts with problems I experienced with my Fiero to which I inevitedbly doled out money to fix/repair, time and time again -- virtually all the parts in the car have been replaced and are new. For a short while it seemed like I was going to get over this hump to Fiero heaven, where repairs I thought would had been things of the past, and though it this has been attainable for a great while, it just never ends... As a student who was looking for an affordable used car that looked wickedly cool, I naturally went fir the Fiero, and though I don't regret making the purchase, it's something that I can no longer deal with in terms of costs, which is ridiculous considering that whenever I drive it, which is rarely, it's almost always babied by me. Heck, I wore driving gloves for what appears to be a leather steering wheel. 
Right now the Fiero turns on, and everything works fine, but after an hour or so, while in parked, the car overheats with the coolant gluggs out at the front -- a heating issue no doubt. I had previously replaced the coolant fan sensor with a newer one, and even had the coolant fan itself replaced several months ago (though the assistant told me that he just merely cleaned the fan connections, conveniently i was charged with the actual cost of a  fan replacement with another fan...), and though the car exibited no heating issues whatsoever, after several months of hiatus, it seems the problem is back if you have the car running for an hour or longer. 

So what you get for $500 is a Fiero AS-IS: most of the parts inside are not original have been changed, when I had it bought it had its rear struts and transmission replaced with newer ones, and upon visual inspection you can see this to be true, and while I had it, I had replaced the alternator, headlight motors, battery, battery cables (this cables are heat resistant), fan sensor, all engine spark plugs, and supposedly a  new radiator fan (or at the very damn least clean radiator fan connectors), all four brakes (and rear calipers), and new rear tires. I paid a mechanic close to 500 for a problem regarding the driver's floorside getting wet, apparently it was a duct issue regarding the heating core?, to which that was fixed, a problem that never resurfaced again. I even fixed the infamous sunroof leak problem. Moreover, the original engine has close to 210'000 kms, so there's plenty of life left (it sounds it, too). Looks great on the outside, I have the lights fixed in the upright position (this can work if you purchase new electric headlight transistor box which are 30 dollars, this is not a motor problem); inside the car are the leather seats, though worn out, has the stereo speakers inside the headrests. Electric windows work, the person whom I bought the fiero had said that the car was the most premium version.

Don't quote me, but when I experienced the overheating issue before doling money out on the repairs, a temporary fix to have the car not overheat on me was to run the "A/C" button, which would have the fan's running, which in turn would not have the car overheat EVER -- so this might interest those who are not mechanics and would like to bring the car home to refix the heating issue. I feel like it's a stupidly simple fix such as replacing the fan sensor, cleaning the fan connectors? I'm not sure.  

Though flexible, I'm setting this price aside for the site membes, I thought I might as well post this here first before posting on craigslist. Two members had helped with some of the repairs of the car! Let me know if you are interested, or if you want pictures showing its great condition.

	My apologies! It's an automatic 4 cyl transmission, and the engine is 2.5 L.

	http://s1168.photobucket.com/user/voliti0n/library/ Hello, You can find the pictures of both the exterior and the interior of my car in the photo album that is linked above. Please pay attention to two things: in picture 10, you'll notice the only "ding" under the vent grill that is closed towards the driver's side door, and that's the only ding for the interior dashbaord, other than this, it's in very good condition (everything interior is in good condition save for the worn-out leather seats, which still produces audio through the headrest speakers); in picture 11, you'll notice I'm holding a black box in my hand, and for the life of me I can't remember it's name, but it can be purchased at the NS auto parts for 30-40 dollars and it connects to the headlights and allows you to have it move up and down with the headlight button, if you get a new pair and connect it to the headlights, it should work, like it had for me, but the reason I have the headlights propped open is that that after every 1-2 months, these black boxes would collect a gooey discharge around it's connectors which, in turn, would render itself, and the function of electrically flipping the headlights up and down, obsolete, so after cycling through some of these boxes with newer ones, I just decided to have the headlights propped open (I really don't think the headlight motors are an issue, as the headlight motor gears have been previously replaced before!).
