I had to replace the clutch fork lever (#8 below) on my 4 cycl 84 Fiero.  I got one from FieroStore.com.  Now my throw is too short.  Do I have to replace the slave cylinder?  Is there a work around?

First of all, make sure the bolt that holds that lever on is not hitting or binding on the tranny case when the clutch is being activated. I've read of that occurring.

Have you bled the hydraulic system? It's possible you've somehow introduced air into the slave cylinder during the lever swap.

Just the action of taking the pushrod out will almost for sure pull air into the system!  (like - about 99%)

If you haven't touched anything else yet - you can TRY cracking the bleeder screw, then pushing the pushrod back in, and locking the screw down.  If the drivers side is a little higher, it'll help.

You'll need to do a good power bleed, but that might at least get you to the point of making it movable.
