Dean (my stepdad) often uses my car. This unto itself would be nothing worth noting, except that his disregard to instruction and habit of driving like a damn race car driver frequently (Very frequently) results in some form of damage or another on the car (Rim damage, cooling system damage, cooked brakes). The belt broke broke on him last time and the car stalled, about a week back. No problem, jumped it, and got it home with no water pump/alternator. Fixed that, cleaned everything up, and triple checked it was working. Got a phone call about twenty minutes ago that the e-brake wouldn't go down. Getting there revealed he had jammed it up as high as it would go, and then he had barbarically broken the hand-brake lever's button, meaning it was impossible to get it back down again. After using a screwdriver to get the hand brake back down, I illegal drove the car back home and proceded to take the keys and say enough was enough. Feels very awkward telling off your own family. |

Yes... Wasn't very happy. I can barely afford to keep up with the normal wear and tear, I really can't afford stuff like a new e-brake lever (And don't feel comfortable not having an e-brake until then). The salt in the wound is when he gets mad for something not working...

Oh, I can't claim total innocence. The damage to the rocker was done with me behind the wheel, and the alternator did go at autocross, but beyond that, pretty much everything else always seems to go with him behind the wheel... Got tired of seeing my sweetie abused. Going to give him one of my pick-up trucks to use instead, don't much care about her.
