I was at the Langley cruise in this weekend and there was an electric fiero over with the other electic cars.
Silver notchback, front and back were full of batteries. Really wish I had my camera :( Anyone else seen it? or know of it? |

You have to give them credit though, the level of torque they produce is absolutely ridiculous. A 200HP electric car can be expected to produce about 600ib-ft of torque. For bracket racing, that's really, really useful. Besides, as a "green" technology I harbor less resentment to electric cars than I do hybrids.

yeah im pretty closed minded...
but the only reason i dont burn every electric car to the ground is because.. "for every electric car on the road, that much more gas is saved." but for green technology, i adore diesels!! which includes b100 and wvo burning vehicles. go ahead and be a hater if you want! (I dont know what you guys think about diesels) |

The electric car I've designed in my head is based around a small (~800cc) diesel engine, powering a 3 phase alternator when required. You could almost call it a hybrid, but the engine never powers the wheels directly. Only through energy conversion. |

So kinda like the back-up generators in the Chevy Volt or Fisker Karma, except diesel? I don't know why you're so against electric cars, Mr Skyline. The reaso people tend to prefer diesel is due to the torque, and a diesel can't hold a candle to an electric vehicle for torque production. The only reason I like combustion engines is due to the feel and nature of them, which means that diesel/alcohol/high-octane gas is all pretty much equal to me. |

haha! i knew you guys would have something to say about that!
i agree with "romeo", electric cars have dont have the same character or feel as combustion engines. to me it seems i've only begun to grow attached these engines when they're gonna become obsolete. but like i said electric cars leave more gas for, uh.... gas cars. so im alright with it.
they could try.... but i am a god. |

Could you command the broken starter bolt to fall out of my block please? Thanks. And if that's doable, I might have a few other requests.
