Trying to realize my 2.8L conversion dream. Found a guy with a 2.8L and a tranny on an engine cradle etc on a palate. He can't remember what kind of transmission it was.
What could I look for that would help me identify the tranny? Thanks Matt |

A 4spd will have the shift cables running beside each other.
A 5spd (getrag only) will have one coming up from below, and the other across the top in the same path as a 4spd. If the cables aren't there, you'll just have to play with it in your head and visualize the path based on the brackets. |
