Hey, when I bought my Fiero, I also had the RX-7, and MR2 and an X/19 on my shortlist.

I had a yellow X 1/9 with 215's all around and a bored out motor. 1600cc's I think it was. 7200 RPM red line. 1900 lbs if I remember right.
I loved that car. Many many good times cruising to Spanish Banks with the gang on a hot summer night with the roof off. Sucking face on a fluffy beach blanket till my jaw hurt. Those were the days I tell you. We own a Fiero party because it reminds me of that Fiat. The Dawg |

What a groovy couple!
Are those cattle bars on the front of the X/19?

That's funny Patty
The '74 didn't have cattle bars, they put them on the '75 and up I really miss the targa roof the X/19 came with. |

The new 5mph bumper regulations caused those cattle bars to be put on in 1975. Most cars in N. America were unprepared for the knee jerk regulation from the US. Even more awkward looking were Lamborghinis and Ferrari's with their especially low front ends.

You had to be short to fit in and X/19 And it's nice the roof could be taken off so his hair could fit inside too. |

Ah, the eighties... So glad I wasn't alive for them. Honestly though, that situation in the film happens to me all the time. |
