Hey there, dumb blonde question:

Where exactly would one look for the VIN on an 1984 fiero.

The only place I see a mention of the location is on another site someone saying "under the dash speaker", which seems kind of vague.

thanks a bunch.

Hello,

It would be on the outer end of your drivers side door!

From the outside of the car, look down towards the driver's side of your dash. You should see a small metal tab with seventeen digits on it. That's your VIN tag.
Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.

And if you take the speaker out of the driver's side of the dash, you'll see another VIN tag on a support that runs from side to side under there.

Thanks for the help.

I should say the vehicle has been used for kit car, and a lot of changes on the body have taken place.   I am thinking that that 2nd location might be visible tho.

I am wondering, is the VIN likely to start with a 1 as in made in the US, or something else if made in Canada?   Then the other thing, is there another way to find VINs of vehicles listed somewhere, as some purchase details are known like previous owner name/city.  I am thinking all sales history will be out of BC, for example.   (it goes without saying the paperwork has been misplaced somewhere).

thanks again.

The VIN will probably start with IG2. No Fieros were made in Canada.

After you find your VIN, run it through the AirCare site and see if there's any history of being tested.
