Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your first Fiero.

The 5 speed Getrag is fine for running the 3800, I think that is what
most people do who want a manual trans. Although more and more
these days are going for the newer Getrag F23 ( myself included) out of
a 2000 ish j-body ( cavalier, sunfire, etc.).

There are a couple 3800 fieros around Vancouver. I have a super
charged series 1 in my 88gt.

Our next club meeting is January 11th in Langley. You should come by
and meet us. I will have my Fiero there.

Also, pictures?

Thanks!

Im glad i can run the 3800 with the getrag.. i was a bit
worried about that. I read up on the guys using the F23 as
well but seems like there is allot to do for the swap?!
I dont have a garage so its kinda hard to be making all
kinds of swaps since i have to be paying a shop to do them
as i have no place to do it myself. Ill upload pictures
pretty soon.

Im actually from Langley so i hope to make it to the
meeting.

On 204th just off 88th against the north side of hwy 1. 6pm ish.

A reminder topic comes up during the week before the meeting as well
to remind everyone of the meeting and what is planned.

For what it is I agree the F23 is a bit of work. If there
was a swap package available though it would be much
easier. Something that included shift cables, shift cable
bracket, and swap mounts. Everything else is pretty much
left the same.

Jordan, it was good to meet at the club meeting tonight.

Guess what, I tracked down some of the history of your car. I think you might be surprised.

PM sent.

I sent Jordan the info I had discovered last night. I knew he'd be pleased when he found out what had been done to this car a few years ago.

Turns out one of the previous owners (2004-2007) was from Chilliwack. His name was Steve and he went by The Funkmaster at Pennock's. His build thread is HERE.

I think Jordon got a helluva deal.

How does this not have a turbo hanging off the side?? It
sounds like that's what the motor was built for.
