NEED HELP/ADVICE

   Hello all! I am brand new to this forum and am hoping all the combined wisdom here will save me. I have a 1988 4 cyl (65K original) and it has an odd issue. When the fuel level dips to 1/4 tank and I make a right turn, the car dies. once I straighten her out she starts right back up and goes down the road. Also, when I fill up, she runs like a top, but as the fuel gets to about half tank the car starts to run a little rough. 

Additionally, one more issue, when I first start the car (almost every time) I get a high idle, like 2000 to 2500 RPM. This lasts for several seconds, maybe even a minute before finally idling down. Can anyone out there help me??!!
