Hey guys. I've been putting off getting my Fiero on the road as the brakes are poor and I wanted to do the work myself. Unfortunately I haven't had time and I'm a bit nervous to do the work. I'm not even really sure what all needs to be done. Anyway I've decide that I really want to get the car on the road so I'm going to take it in to get done. Can anyone recommend a good shop? I'm in Walnut Grove.
Thanks! |

Unfortunately there are none. Best bet is to find a "reliable" shop that won't screw you and hope for the best.

According to John Crakers advice many years ago, Dales Alignment
(behind the Subaru dealership in Langley) likes to work on Fieros. Even though they specialize in suspensions and brakes they also do other mechanical jobs. They recently rebuilt my sons WRX Impreza boxer engine, and did a fantastic job. They are also experts in turbocharging engines. |

My friends Gord and Harold at Fred's automotive on Fraser
Street in Vancouver are pretty reliable mechanics I trust. They've done the alternator, fuel pumps and water pumps on my car in the past. When I got my collector plates, I even sent them a thank-you note as they were one of the places I trusted to keep my car running in good condition. They're a family run business that's been there for decades. At least more than 40 years. They're not in Walnut Grove, however. |

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm thinking to give
Dales a try as it is fairly close. The rear brakes do not work at all. I couldn't even do aircare as the test requires braking, so less I have to drive it to get it fixed the better. |
