So we made our first trip to Harbor Freight yesterday and GI Joes.
First important buy was 2 Paint guns.  I was recommended to stay from HVLP as they are less forgiving for a newbie.  These only need 6cfm at a low 50 psi.    One gun will be used for Black Paint and the other for White Paint.

Paint Guns 14.99, I am going to have to take them to an experienced painter and have him explain what all the adjustments do.

New 50ft air line.  200psi working pressure with 800psi burst pressure.  On sale for 9.99

I can't wait to get back and play with these.

I'll post more about the other tools in my Vacation thread.  (don't want to muck up this thread with non related info.

you have a filter for your compressor ...if your planning on painting

nothing like a lil extra water in the paint to really screw stuff up

well just an update on the build.  Here are the tools we picked up today.   picked up a line dryer with a filter installed.

Well first off some of the finds in the flea markets and small little shops we were in. It is very obviously a Fiero, however with some popular mods like Mecham Side Scoops, aftermarket wheels and over the roof scoop.  Even has pop up lights that have twin projectors in it.

However an odd mod, it has the Back seats in it, like GM was planning to build.

Picked up a Craftsman drop light with coil for 10 bucks

Dryer

Out of the package and removed the sleeve so I could see the glass cylinder.

Just a quick shot of the tools.  Nothing too fancy but should be interesting

new new line couplers.

New pressure regulator

So I went out and bought a little in-line drier.  Its the blue thing beside the big thing in the photo.  I had posted the pics and received a message from the good Dr. that, that dryer is pretty much junk and should only be used as a secondary cleaner after a much larger dryer, as well as the regulator I bought was not going to work.    So Today we went back out to Harbor Freight and picked up a few things.

The Box

Note the pen beside it as a size reference

Assembled and showing the dryer I thought was big enough

Specs, sorry for the blurry

3 head manifold. This way I can have a dedicated line and parts from the tank to the paint gun and worry a little bit less about running the other power tools on the lines.  I figured for 10 bucks it was cheap insurance.

This will be perfect to have it installed in the front compartment remote battery mount.        Well is one of the piles of stuff I have picked up.

We went back yesterday and looked around, I tried to go back today but ran late and they were already closed.

Battery Disconnect. Key in

Key Removed

Paint Guns, 2 larger runs and 1 detail gun.

Finally a Tap and Die kit.  Until know I have just taken a good bolt with grease on it and fired it in with my air impact gun and hope that the bolt is stronger than the threads I am trying to repair.  So this will come in really handy.

Socket Trays

Re-usable Spray can.  Fill it with anything charge it up to 90psi with an Air compressor and you are good to go.
