Hmm sounds familiar to a couple 87GT's I knew, one was for sale at a Dealership in new west and belonged to a French, the other belonged to a forum member and it had a bad motor.

Where or who did you purchase it from.

i bought it from a seemingly very trustworthy guy in south burnaby, owner before that was on the island, but car was aircared on the 20th and passed with no cat or egr stuff! how!

didn't get to see a cold start, but started with no smoke and ran beautifully, pulled hard, incriminating sound! but yes it does have a small exhaust leak, just read something about it on here costing like $600 because of the labour involved!? 5 spd tranny feels kinda stiff and a bit harder to get in gear, 5th is kinda sloppy feeling. theres nothing to hold up the..err..rear hood/trunk whatchamacallit, what should it have? im a shorter 5'5 kinda guy, i can barely put the damn clutch to the floor, but the seat is really hard to move. is a fiero only for tall people? brakes are spongey too.

other than that, it is in the most incredible shape, but all original paint and interior. the 122,000km looks so true...
thats it.

He had a brake fire and was attempting to sell it damaged. I would imagine he repaired it as it was rather sketchy as is and bordering on impossible to sell. He didn't tell you about the fire?  Here is the Craigs ad:

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/cto/1182319733.html

Here is the text:

Very good condition Pontiac Fiero Gt.

**Aircared - 20/05/2009**
122,000km
2.8L V6
5 spd manual
Newer Falken tires RE912

The bad. *** Car is still driveable and driven daily****
Driver side rear brake overheated (e-brake left on while driving) and caused the caliper seals and brake line to fail and it started a very small fire. Caliper, Brake hose and pads replaced. Requires inner plastic fenders, trim and paint to make it prefect.

Welcome!

Not counting the black strip across the rear bumper, I see five extra stickers of some sort on the exterior of the GT. What do they all say?

thanks,
guess it was some dealer option, two "pontiac" on each side. but the only other one can think of is the one under the "GT" on the back, the ABS one.

I saw that ABS sticker and about that time I turned around and walked away before saying anything out of colour.

ABS ON A FIERO?  Nope, Never, Nearly Impossible.  Why on earth would someone put an ABS sticker on a Fiero?  I could see if the person was a ricer putting fake performance stickers on it, but ABS, Why?

Yeah, hopefully all 5 of those stickers and the black stripe thing will all come off with no damage to the paint.

Who was it that said "It just ain't right, son!"

(oh, other than that - very nice car!)

What are the two round looking ones that are on the side panels to the rear of the front tires?

the two round ones also say pontiac, they all might be damn near impossible to get off though after being there so long...

yeah i was really doubting that the car had abs, but so was the seller, we had a good laugh about it too!

OK some people may fall out of their seats, especially if you really know me.  But I have to say it, your Skyline, is it the RHD, AWD, Turbo?

I have never been in or even seen a skyline up close and its is one of the few, non domestic cars that I really thing are "interesting"  I'd love to have you take me for a boot out in it, and really let the car loose.    Don't know how aggressive you drive, but the more sideways you think you can get it the better.     Don't get me wrong, I am not getting rid of my V8 or my wifes V8 Fiero anytime soon.  But something sporty and sedan like could be really fun for a long term future purchase.    Once the new baby does not need a special baby seat or is able to climb into the car on his own, might be an interesting buy.     I think in a few years when my Yellow 88GT 5spd goes into collector status I might think about selling it.    Honestly I can't have nearly as much fun with the car because I can't MOD it the way I want.  I am too afraid to bang it up, or get it banged up.  Anyone that knows me, if I can't take my car to the bleeding edge, its just no fun for me and not even worth owning it.   Cleaned up and nice paint on the 88 should be able to find a Yankee to hand over 6000-7000 USD with the collector plates on it.   Which should be enough to buy a decent used sport sedan car.

yes/no/yes
its a 1992 skyline gts-t type m, just rwd this one is and single turbo.
it is just about a million times faster than my fiero the way its set up, surprisingly almost as much character as the fiero too.
you know it is for sale on c-list..........

and you must assume i'm a kid if you're asking me to drift it, and i am a young hooligan, on more than just the inside, i eat oreos and play with lego constantly, its a serious problem. but anyways the skyline isn't just mine, it is a project of my dad's and I, so i dont want to rip it like its formula D.

Between my Wife and I, we have 4 Fiero's a Minivan we are trying to get rid of and just bought a 96 Chevy Blazer.  For the time being I am happy with the V8 Fieros.  Almost thought about doing the RHD conversion on one of my Fiero's just for the novelty of it.  Aus Fiero on PFF just finished the conversion, apparently most of the hard parts are available off the shelf, just need to re-work the dash and speedo wiring and such.
