Yep, and an ignition module or spare distributor. And maybe a coil.

57 Fieros signed up to go.  Should be a good one this year.

So what do you figure, 80 maybe 90 cars this year in total.  I'd really like this to be a record year for our little babies.  Your idea of the Craigslist add was genius.  I'll bet we get 25% more cars just having those 2 adds.

Ah-Maze-Ing.

And that cake was... Spectacular beyond words.

Great trip though. Totally worth the year and a half I've waited to do that. And the speed... WEEEE.

Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.

Ahhh...  memories...  memories of CAKE!

Thanks to Meagan (the cake and car creator above!), and all the other Jet City Fiero folks for letting us all hang out with you once again, and setting up such a great day!

I'm sure we all look forward to doing it again next year - and we'll hope for equally NICE weather!

Oh, and next year...  someone pack a TPS.

Shush!

We don't want to give the impression that we might've been going over the speed limit at any time during the trip to Arlington.

That was great fun! Thanks to Dave and Lisa for doing all the usual club event stuff.

Michelle and I also had a great time at our first Arlington meet.  The weather was great the cars were plentiful and the drive there with the gang was fabulous!

Thanks to everyone involved, it was a blast.

Is it next year yet?

OK...  bizarre....

Running around town in the period leading up to today, spreadsheet says: 17.14mpg (yeah - there's something wrong!!!!)
Trip down: 19.32mpg
Trip back: 28.61mpg!!!!

I'm really hoping I can finally narrow this down to a very intermittent TPS (all the times I scanned it, it was fine - EXCEPT for in the parking lot this morning!).

As far as mileage, I used 1/2 tank the entire trip, filled up at Chevron on the way down and filled up at the same chevron on the way back up.  Used a total of 4.9 US Gallons which boils down to 30.6mpg WooHoo.  It almost does not seem possible, but Patrick was there with me when I filled up and I had to restart the pump several times just to get that 4.9 gallons.   So even with my rather spirited driving, I still got decent gas mileage.

I'll be posting pics and videos later tonight.

 Ok teaser Video.    http://captfiero.com/videos/mycar/speedtest.wmv

Note this video is from an un-named source, in an un-named country at an unknown time or space or reality.

195 KPH, towing a trailer, the comment that you hear is me saying to myself, "Ok Hitting the Binders"  (trucker slang for hitting the brakes)

It was rather odd trying to video with one hand, steer with the other and watch traffic at the same time.

My engine seems to run just fine. Maybe it's the automatic tranny that totally sucks up the gas?

I told ya one of these days Pat you are going to have to let me take a look over your car and see where things can be tweaked.

I made my 3/4 of a tank last the entire way back to my house. Right up to my driveway. I was beyond astounded.

Thanks for the cake Meegan lady!

Patrick, we sped, and my god, it was an amazing feeling.

Michelle, I incorrectly informed you it was the Renault R25 that "sings" various songs, it's actually the R27. Youtube it.

Man, we should turn this into an annual affair!
