I enjoyed this article, Pontiac's Last Stand?, even though the author stated the following: "...after the oil crisis, Pontiac became the brand of wretched little cars like the Fiero, the Grand Am, the Sunbird and of course the despised Aztek." The posted comments from readers, especially from the Fiero fans, are also enjoyable to read.

Lotta love for the Fiero, I'm rather shocked. The one guy is such a moron though, it's actually comical to read. "Detroit intentionally made the cars so they'd break right after the warranty period and people would have to buy another one." Right buddy, that's why many 1970's cars are still on the road, not to mention the metallurgy required to design an engine to break in that kind of time-frame is impossible, even by today's standards. This is also besides the fact that it's the stupidest business conspiracy theory I've ever heard. We will design broken engines intentionally, and somehow no one will ever hear about this or spread this information around! |

Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.
