Thank you, maybe I should clarify my question though, will 1988 Fiero gt rims fit on a 1985 gt. My impression is that they have a different offset. If so which one would you put on the front

The 88 wheels work great on an 85GT, yes the offset on the front 88's a little bit diffrent however if anything it seemed to improve the handling of my 85GT.

So which ones did you put on the front. Sorry about not using a question mark but I can not make it work on my wifes new key board.

The captain has '88 rims on his '88, and aftermarket three spokes on his 87.
Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.

AH Romeo where for out did you get your knowledge.

My 85GT which you never saw in its heyday, had 88 Front Lace wheels on the front and 88 Black Lace Wheels on the back.

They are stock 15x6 front and 15x7 rear.  Where as the stock 85GT wheels are 14x6 front and rear.

Rusty you are correct that the offset is different the 88 fronts will sit in a bit further than the stock 14" wheels, however it gives the car a quicker turn in feel in the corners.  I honestly loved that feeling.  I traded my 88GT Lace wheels from the 85GT to a club member who sold them to another club member in I believe maple ridge.  They look amazing on any Notchback especially a black notchback.

I got my info from... Looking at your car?

Your yellow '88 uses the standard '88 rims.

Your 857 (Which is an '87 body, is it not?) has those polished three spokes on it, unless you changed it since last I saw it...

Yes the 857 has the 3 spokes and they will be the only wheels that car will have unless I find a nice set of 18" Chrome 3 spokes.  I'd love to move from the current 50 series tires to a set of 245/40/18's someday.  That 3 spoke design has became part of the cars history and I don't plan to change it.

Here is an older pic of the car as it was many years ago.

THe tires at the time were tiny 205/50/15's and I was kinda sitting in a dich so it made it look like a 4x4 in the pic.  However trust me the car sat very low.

You can fit 245 in a Fiero? SICK!

Anyways, I'll keep an eye out for three spokes in chrome then, but I guess I should quit derailing this thread...
