Hi i'm applying for collector plates but i need to paint the polished pieces in my engine red.

My question is, does anyone knowa paint code or anything for the red color. My plan is to take them off and mask/spray paint them.

Thanks.

OR....  since brad forgot to mention it....

He'll take a complete set of painted good condition ones in trade for these.  RIGHT?!

But...  if nobody wants to take that on (for whatever reason!) - red Duplicolor CALIPER PAINT (it will put up with the heat and chemicals) is a pretty good match.  Remember that most of the red's you see now are very orangey from fading for 25 years.

Make sure you clean the hell out of all those parts with brake clean, and then wax & grease remover....  all of those parts got routine waxing to stop them from corroding.

This is true, hate to see all that polishing go to waste.

I found a super close match at Canadian Tire.  I think it's Torch Red.

I have a nice intake at the very least.  Maybe we can work a deal with your tail lights in return for me prepping and painting/swapping.

Sorry, very busy at the moment which is why I didn't phone yet.  This weekend for sure.

If you want the red, I have several here. I'd take a trade, if that's what you'd like.

Yeah i would love a trade, Only thing i would have issue with is getting the rear valve cover off, looks very tight in there. If you could give me a hand that'd be awesome, you guys probably know all the tricks. I am new to these cars so i have alot to learn.

PM me your number and we can set something up. Thanks.
