So on my way to work I opted to go in a different driveway to park next
to my boss. I never take that entrance. Well I hear this noise like I ran something over. I didn't see anything but I could still hear it. So I crippled into the parking lot and looked. There was this long skinny rod imbedded into my back drivers tire. Pissing out air. And it tore up my wheel well. I can see my trunk though it. I'm so upset :( |

Wow that sucks.
Is it just the wheel well liner that's damaged? That's not hard to replace and shouldn't be too hard to find? |

It was just a long silver rod with rivets on the end. It was Lon enough
that it took out a chunk of my bumper. But it's underneath so you can't see that. Does anyone know how to take the fuze out so that the parking brake light/ding goes away. My parking brake doesn't even work but if you mess with it it doesn't go off. My boss didn't know that so he actually engaged it. Now it's technically off but the light/ding won't stop. |

Try wiggling the e brake lever, that usually works for me. Otherwise,
there is a blue electrical box in the passenger footwell. Aka the blue dingy thingy. Unplug that and the dinging will stop. |

Yeah I normally can just wiggle it around and it'll stop but now it won't.
Thank you for the help though. |

Yay no more ding! Light is still on but it's all good. I do have another
question. Are wheel well liners reversible? Like if I had one off the passenger side and tried to put it on the drivers side would it work? |

Nope - they're all unique to each corner.
As for your e-brake - tighten up your brake cable. Usually it's just too loose, and it can't pull on the handle hard enough to disengage the switch. Next time you lock your keys in the car or leave the park lights on, you'll wish you had the blue dingy thingy! |

If I locked my car I'm screwed. The locks don't work on the outside lol.
But thank you for the bit about the wheel well. :) |

If it's just your lock cylinders that are screwed, they're not THAT bad to change out. And you can buy a matched pair for not too much.
Your trunk then won't match, but you can take the whole set into a locksmith, and they can rekey your trunk to match your new door locks. |

Sounds like too much work. I don't have anything of value in my car
ever. So that's why I'm ok with it unlocked. And my work keys are on the same key set as my fiero keys so they never leave me. Then at night I park her in my garage. So I think I'm good for now :) thank you though for the help. I just want to find a new wheel well. The guy I got my rocker panel from only has the passenger side :/ boo |
