Hi Everybody

I'm working on David and Lisa's wedding video and I couldn't help but put together a few clips of some nice footage from the wedding. This is just a short teaser of sorts as it's taking me a bit longer than I thought to get to the editing of the video with the amount of work coming through at the moment.

Anyways, without further ado:

Thanks guys. Just in case though I've taken the size of the video down a bit as it wasn't playing as smoothly as it should on some computers.

Thanks everybody for the compliments. It's easy when the subjects are so great

Yes, the messages will be in the end video product.

Just to give a quick update on how things are going, this is the process that is being taken and what is done:

1. Capture video to computer (3 tapes): done

2. Organize video in order to make editing easier (34 GB of it): done

3. Find music (3 songs): done

4. Create DVD menu (this ties into #5 too): done

5. Create 3 sections for video to fit into (Intro, wedding, after party with comments): done

6. Cut up and edit video for intro (about 4.5 mins) : done

7. Cut up and edit video for wedding (14 mins) : done

8a. Cut up and edit video for after party (about 34 mins) : done

8b. Cut up and edit video for comments (about 5 mins): done

9. Colour correct and reduce camera shake throughout video: done

10. Render out and combine with DVD menu to burn to DVD: done

11. Print label on DVD and burn DVD and test: done

Last but not least:
12. Give with all love to David and Lisa: Soon I hope

Hopefully that will help understand the process. Once done, I will see if David and Lisa want it put online. If so, I'll create a small site so that people can view the end product online. DVD's will be available too of course in case people want them.

I'll keep this post updated as I go.

The video is coming along with a few more items finished up. Just two more sequences to do and I'm almost done half of one of them (wedding and after party).

What I didn't realize was how tough it would be to get rid of the wind.. 'tis windy down at the beach.

Here is a short clip to show that.

The before edit version:

The after edit version:

It's coming along. Sorry Dave and Lisa for taking so long on it.

Just a little bit more to go guys. I've just finished the wedding part (minus sound editing and colour correction) and I'm really happy with the way it turned out, so only have the after party to do. Almost there!

The DVD is complete!  Spent a bit of a marathon day working on it today and I'm pretty happy to say that it's done. I can't wait to pass it on to Dave and Lisa

Lisa and I watched the video last night and it was simply amazing.   I can't thank Graeme enough for making the video for us.   We really really enjoyed watching it.    When time permits Graeme has offered to put a digital version up for people to watch it online.

Again Thank You Very Much for doing this for us, it is an awesome addition to our Wedding Collection.

Done, here is the online version.

A good computer and network connection will help because this video is quite large. Flash player is required (which I'm assuming just about everybody would have). The file is streamed so it's possible to skip ahead by dragging the play marker and scrubbing along.

It took a full day to encode the video... I couldn't believe it. 321MB. Not bad for a 52 minute video at 640 x 480.

WOW, Thank You so much.  I am sure many many people will enjoy being able to see it.

P.S. When you were here I forgot to give you your stuff, Lisa reminded me when she got home.  LOL, I knew there was a reason I wanted Lisa home when you came over.
