Hi, my transmission went on me 3 years ago and the car has been parked outside that long.  The engine hasn't been turned over for that long also.

I have another 5sp Getrag that i can use but i'm not sure what condition it is in.

So first things first, what should i do to prepare my car to start again?  Should i just tow the car in and tell them the situation.  Does anyone know of a good place to get this done?

I would drain the oil and put fresh oil in it, if the gas tank is not already full, I would go and get a 5 gallon gas can and fill it up with Mohawk 94oct gas.  Then charge the battery and try to fire it up.

As for the transmission, there is not alot you can do until you get it swapped.   Plan on needing a new slave cylinder as they tend to die if sitting for that long.
