HI all, I'm Tyler from Chilliwack. Been lurking around these forums for awhile now and have decided to get one of these great cars. *UPDATE* I got a 2m4 from burnaby for 1000 bucks, its got 130,000 km and has a new clutch and cd player, just needs a replacement driver side mirror, its my first time driving a standard so if you see a fiero stalling all the time its probably me |

The general price for a running V6 in decent condition starts around 3000, so trying to find a nice V6 car for 1500 will be a rare thing. I have seen them come along, but not the norm.
You can usually find a dirty, fixer upper for 1500. There is an 87 4cyl Fiero in Abby selling for $600 on craigslist. If you keep your eyes open there, Fiero's pop up about 2 or 3 a month. Some are good deals, some are overpriced hunks of junk. Just got to keep your eyes open. |

ZeroC- haha, I was looking at your car today, I think your my friends neighbor, how close to the base are you?
Capt Fiero- I'd be happy with a 4 banger, I just need a car to get to work, once I get some proper funding I'll get a nicer Fiero. Ill check out that one on Craigslist, thanks. |

Lol, I saw the 84 too. Made me want to buy one for myself sooner :P
Thanks capt, but the owner of that Fiero didn't respond to my email. Nobody knows of any being sold that aren't on craigslist or buyandsell? |

I think he had an offer at one time of $5000 for it and turned it down. So unless he is going baby crazy, (which he might be) Its going to take a crow bar to get his car away from him.

I don't remember 85 Fieros coming 5 speed. I don't think they were 4 speeds until 86. Maybe the 4 cyl?

84 4cyl (no v6 option) were either 4spd Muncies or 125C (3spd) Auto's 85-88 4cyl were all Isuzu 5spds. 85-86.5 V6 had the Mucnie 4spd with extra case webbing. 86.5-88 V6 had the Getrag 5spd
Note the fact that most of these cars have been around for 20 some odd years and anything can be changed. Now with people installing 6spd Standards and 4 speed autos you never know which trans could be stuffed in a Fiero. Personally my favorite tranny for daily use is the Isuzu 5spd. |
