Yeah yeah...  you get what you pay for....  and THIS is no exception.

I was in at "Bianca Amors Liquidation Supercenter" at 104th ave & about 154th st today.  They've got these car covers there in 4 different sizes.  They ARE cheap at $19 - but all they are is a big plastic cover with elastic at the corners (read: don't park in the wind!).  There's no inner fuzzy cover etc etc.

It was designed more for a 4dr sedan or something, so the fit is 'so so', but does go end to end, and tucks under the corners on my 86 GT.  That was the size "medium" (170*65*47").

Anyhow, if you're looking for something to keep prying eyes off your wheels (Brian!!) or to keep the dust and bugs off it over the winter in your garage or wind shielded carport....  it might just be the ticket....

I'm going to augment mine with a $14 king size sheet (XS Cargo!) under it to prevent scratches .

I'll post pics if anyone wants.

Good idea about the sheet. Bianca Amors is a crazy and wonderful place. I've found their covers to actually last a couple seasons as long as you keep the edges tight so wind doesn't catch them and rip them to shreds.
I wanna go fast.

That's a good one John...thanks to Nigel I have a cover since last year...but they still want to break into our garage, there's a Skyline, a Grand National and beautiful 65 Caddy...lol.

If anything, does anyone have any suggestions for a fire sprinkler pipe that those fricken sparrows that keep sh*tting on my car?...I have looked for those fence style razors but Kerstin won't let me...lol...so the cover helps mainly for bird sh*t.

Hopefully she checked the sizes on the end of the box!
There were a lot of XL XXL when I was there.

Grease the top of the pipe.

A larger stuffed bird stuck on the pipe, something big and mean looking that the smaller birds would not come near ?

Follow up here for anyone still listening...

These things work fine - if they're IN a garage or something.  As evident by the torn off side of mine, they DON'T like being in much wind!

Until that happened though, it was doing a great job of keeping the rain, bird crap and dirt/dust off the car!

LOL, funny you mention that, Brian and I were just talking about how crappy these are for covering your car out doors.  The one that we installed on Lisa's V8 is shredded to hell.  Just from the sun and wind.  Its litterly torn into shreds.

Funny you should mention that mine ended up the same way, although the cat had a paw in there too. ( Who knew the cat had a plastic fetish!).
I did happen to run across another type of car cover at "Midland Liquidators", 2 blocks west of Knight St on Kingsway in Vancouver.
The price was $20, and it's made from a breathable fabric called "Carlon"and also has tiedown straps for the corners.
If you decide you need one too, get the Medium size, it's a better fit
than the ones' at  "Biancas", and from what I've seen it looks like it will hold up a lot better.
