Anyone know where I can track down a product called Thermosteel here in the Lower Mainland? My link is to a Home Hardware page, but their stores don’t actually seem to carry it. I want to try it out on this cracked EGR tube from my '86 GT. I’ve read reports of good success using this stuff. Edited by Patrick |

Nope, it's rugged stuff that's good up to 2400 degree F/1316 degree C. Edited by Patrick |

No one can see your image, unless they are recently logged into PFF. You need to save the image an upload it locally.
However if you need an EGR pipe I can take a look around here, I might have a spare one here. I won't be installing an EGR pipe on any of my cars. So I might have one kicking around |

Dave, thanks for letting me know about the image (I've now fixed it), and thanks for mentioning you might have an EGR tube kicking around. I'll probably take you up on your offer if you have one available. However, I'll have to put it off for a few days as I'm dealing with something rather unfortunate that I posted about Here. I'll be tied up for a few days helping with preparations for the funeral. People's lives can change in a moment. |

Thanks guys. It really hurts to lose a good friend whom I've known for 43 years. I feel so bad for his wife and kids... |

Okay, now that funerals and holiday trips are behind me, it's time to work on the Fiero again. I've given up trying to find that Thermosteel stuff. I need to replace this EGR tube. It turns out that Dave doesn't have a spare one kicking around. Started a new thread on this Here. Edited by Patrick |
