After a five year drought I have a Fiero again. After my 87
cracked the block and I had no money to fix it. I have got another one. A black 87 GT. Been sitting ten years and it still looks great. It was sitting in a back alley in Vancouver at about a 20 degree angle driveway. We rolled it down to the alley and gas started leaking out of the tank. Since it was raining it became very slippery to the point it was hard to stand. The car needs the transmission fixed which John (old owner) had a replacement one he gave me. Thanks John. The engine was rebuild ten years ago. Which doesn't matter because it needs a bigger engine before it hits the road. But I'm very happy to have my third fiero. Ps does anyone have a good fuel tank just kicking around? Edited by hangmans8 |

84-86 was 10.3 gallon, 87-88 were 11.9 gallon. You can adapt back and forth. It would be a shame to put an early tank in a late car, but in a pinch it can be done. Whats worse is we let 5 late tanks go to scrape last year from the storage locker. I think we sold 4 of the 9 I had. Heck I think I was letting them go for 20 bucks a piece, then free on the last day.
P.S. you need to repost the pic of your car, somehow it got deleted when I tried to edit your post above to fix the double wide image. |
