This past week, there was a news story about a house fire in a neighbourhood near Lions Bay. There are no fire hydrants there. The neighbourhood was not covered by any fire department but West Vancouver and Lions Bay fire departments came as well as the Vancouver Fire boat to put the fire out. The house was gutted. This is a private subdivision.
The news reported that the fire was caused by a battery charger blowing up. The charger was connected to a Ferrari while the resident was away. Tonight, I subsequently found out that the Ferrari was not a Ferrari, but a Fiero. Since the house was destroyed, I suspect so is the car. Anybody on this forum? |

Yeah, it's a little worse for wear. I posted about this at Pennock's HERE, and I was rather surprised at the reaction to the newspaper article I linked to.

Only 2 that I can think of in that area are Bill Sphone and Shakey Dave. However I don't know exactly where they live. I know Bill is into Exotic cars, but his Fiero was a 3.2 Turbo not a 2.5 Duke.

Yeah, not me - I sold my car recently. Sadly, after over 20 years of reliable service, the new owner managed to ignore the temp gauge, ran it low on coolant and cooked the engine in his first month of ownership! Hopefully he didn't damage the heads or anything else. Makes me wish I'd kept it! |
