Topic: A wiring question Posted: 03 August 2012 at 3:34pm |
Does anybody know where in my 85 Fiero GT I can find ...
a/ A "hot at all times" wire b/ A ground wire Both wires need to be in the area around the cigar lighter, if possible, and be easy for a technical Klutz like me to get to. In case you are interested,I am trying to install a new accessory. So far I have concentrated on getting my power from the cigar lighter. I spliced my power wire to the orange wire going into the lighter and my ground wire to the black wire going into the round cylinder beside the lighter. NO LUCK ... although it did work when attached to a battery! Before I spend hours more time trying to do something i know absolutely anothing about, I thought I'd turn my problem over to the club. Thanks for your time |

You're 100% on the right track.
Chances are you've just got a blown lighter fuse. |
