86 fiero gt fastback transmission problem

   hi, i just became a proud owner of a 86 fiero gt fastback i bought from a buddy of mine now the problem with it is the the transmission when its cold you can put it in drive and its fine once it warms up you have to put it in low 1st when you stop then 2nd and drive and it shifts fine my question is would the trans need to be replace or rebuilt or is it something simple like changing the filter and do a trans flush?plmk

	If you find that the trans is toast ( sounds like it) I have two Fiero th125 trans in working order you can have.
