Hey quick couple questions first off how much oil should be put into a 86
fiero gt, and also how hard does anyone think it would be to install throttle
cable myself or should i just take it to a mechanic shop??

Throttle cable is not "hard" but more of a pain in the ass. Will take a
mechanics just as long as you probably. A long time.

From a complete Oil and Filter change the spec is 4.5 quarts. Which is about 4 liters. However I usually put In 5 liters as I run mine a little over full. Reason I run a bit over full is I do a lot of High Rpm driving and under hard cornering with high rpms its possible to uncover the oil pump pickup. If you have a stock Oil Pump 1/2 liter over full is more than enough, however if you have a Federal Mogul High Volume pump, I recommend a full liter above full if you drive spiritedly.

So Stock 4.5 qts
Drive it hard 5qs
Modified with HV Oil Pump 5.25qts (5 liters)

P.S. The Throttle cable job will require you to take apart most if not all of the center console including the stereo and all bits attached and around it. Its a Pain in the butt time consuming job, but just requires lots of time and a 6mm socket and a 10mm socket. It will go MUCH faster if you have a cordless drill to spin the sockets.
