(yeah, a normal Fiero one!)

Ok, it's actually located in my Blazer, but it's still the same thing.  :)

Anyhow, I've now done the "total" strip down on one to fix a floppy tilt.  Whoa.  What a task!  Makes me really appreciative that the guy in Langley is out there to help folks out!!

Anyhow, YES it is possible for a mere mortal to do it if you're really motivated.  I did it simply because A) I wanted to and B) I didn't have a complete S10 column in tilt to put in!  Almost all the Fiero bits are interchangeable except for the lower tube (since trucks are larger from the firewall up).

So, if anyone REALLY wants to tackle their own column, let me know.  I've got the specialty tools required, and can probably 'steer' you down the path of how to do it.....  :D

Just dawned on me...

Would there be enough interest (need?) to turn this into a tech session?

Figured that way all the odd-ball tools are in the same place at the same time, as would be the semi experienced eye.

Would want to wait until things warm up a bit of course, but - with a LOT of finger crossing that day will come soon!

Would be interesting to see you rebuild a coloumb after it has been smashed up in a theft attempt.

Could be a nice Tech Day when do you want to set it up.
