A lot of bidding ones have over $12 shipping on them to begin with, and the ones that don't or have free shipping are reaching the $10+ range anyway. Doesn't seem worth the hassle to me. These things must have gotten more popular in the past few months. |

Oh sure, if you look/try hard enough you can pay $50 apiece for these things. I'm just reporting what my experiences were a few months ago with these cameras. Like you say, possibly they're more in demand now.

Huh? Are you suggesting I did that to you? John, I hope you're just kidding.

LOL Johnny Boy, you should've left him hanging until the meeting. Could you imagine how on edge you could've kept him? |

Last night I was at an executive meeting of the video club I belong to, and one of the fellas had his new iPad with him. He has internet access with it using cell phone type connectivity, so I suggested to him to visit this thread so that we could watch a couple of the videos which have been posted of us on the track. I was pretty disappointed to find out that iPads and various other Mac related products do NOT have the capability to play back any video which makes use of Flash (which is what we use here). That really sucks. The iPad is a neat little device, but not being able to play back anything on the 'net which utilizes Flash is rather limiting to say the least!

Wow. That's really shocking, especially given that Adobe and Apple are practically married to eachother...

Actually, it seems only a few of these newer mobile devices support flash. Flash will hopefully be phased out... I hate flash but at the same time nothing yet exists to properly replace it.
Though, couldn't you have downloaded the video and played it directly off the device? |

That's exactly what we tried to eventually do. However, clicking on This link did NOT present us with an option to download the file. It did allow us though to stream the MP4 video clip, but because it was the relatively large 366 MB file, it wouldn't allow us to jump ahead in the 47 minute video while it was streaming. It was quite a frustrating experience, especially when it's something so easy and basic to do on a Windows platform. [Edit:12/24/12] Made my first animated GIF... [EDIT:12/28/12] Used a different program ..... ... lower frame rate but better image quality. Not happy with either at this point, but the problem is trying to keep the file size no bigger than 1MB for uploading to Photobucket. Otherwise Photobucket re-renders the file and then it really looks bad. [EDIT:01/01/12] I've made good progress, but it's necessary to click on the link to see it... Here
