GREAT NEWS...:)

Our continuing goal to work with BC Driving Center, the city of Pitt Meadows and the local residents has allowed us to set 3 event dates. These 3 events will showcase what the autocross community is all about and show how we conduct ourselves in a professional manner. These events are possible thanks to the local community for working with us to resolve any problems, and will continue in the future.

The local autocross clubs have been working together and will be enforcing strict rules and regulations for these events. We are still in the process of producing a general guideline for the events, but for starters we have:

-50 drivers max per event
-No first time drivers
-$40 entry fee inc. day membership (no membership required)
-92 db sound limit

The dates are scheduled for March 1st, 15th and 29th. There is a possibility of date changes.

As of now, VCMC will be hosting the first event on March 1, 2009. We will setup a sign up thread for that towards the end of the month. Keep checking the forum as the other clubs will be joining us as well.

Again big thanks to the Pitt Meadows community for helping our sport move forward. I'm sure when we get this all settled, we will make everyone happy and look forward to more events in the future.

Vice-president VCMC
Bryan

That's Very Good News.  Why don't you forward this onto the club email list.

Not that I would have been ready to run my car, but whats with the "No First Timers"     I guess they want to keep it to the respected people that know the rules and respect driving on the side streets.

Here's the reply on your question from the site as it has been asked...

The idea of the 'no first timers' is that the actions of the group at the event will determine if we have more events this year, hence we want to know everyone involved will behave themselves. While there is no spectator limitations planned at this point, please make sure they are aware of that their behavior on Ford Rd., and at the site will been observed by residents there to see how we conduct ourselves.

Ya thats kinda what I figured. Well if I have the V8 on the road, maybe I'll drive it out there just to watch.

Well I ordered the other day from Dickman the upper ball joints, the slave brackets and those shift bushings...with the play in my front wheel, I won't pass tech until I get that fixed...so can anyone suggest where I can take my car since we are all questioning our alignment shop in Langley:).

With my shoulder I'll have to pay for someone to install the ball joints and get an alignment...maybe show up on March 1st with temp insurance:)
