Please tell me I am not the only one that gasped and went,
"Are they trying to ruin the image" Don't get me wrong, I love everything Pontiac, even in a weird way the Aztec, but the car is too high, the nose looks too doubled, just doesn't have that sleek racing look that the original had. I always preferred the square lights over the round design as well. I liked the Trans Am that Stacy had on the TV show gears last year. |

This one is supposed to be a throw back to a '72.
Stacey had one that was supposed to be more like my old one (a '77). |

I liked it because it's got that neuveau-retro '72 look like the Camaro does
with the 67-69 and the 05-09 Mustang. Someone else did a take on it for SEMA that just looked like a$$, they split the grill of a Camaro & called her done. A lot of attention to detail - and a HIGH admission price, the Dr is right! - they even used a "vinyl look" for the interior lol Here's a pic of the '77 one, kinda makes me feel like puttin 'Convoy' on the iPod and hittin' the road... |

More like a throw up. I don't know what's happened to the stylists at GM. I used to love the look of various Chevy, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac automobiles over the decades, but now they all suck. That includes the new Camaro. Good gawd, it's fugly.

I appreciate the idea, but as the others pointed out, it sits too high, looks very plastic-y, and, in this one's opinion, needs ram air.

Can't blame them for this creation, when it was done by Hennesey (hennesy, henesy, whoever). That '77 above is just one of the versions I've seen. There's a better one floating around that has the proper quad headlights. |

The white one at the top is a Lingenfelter - surely one of
the more poetic car marques... I can see the clubs springing up now West Coast Lingenfelters Pacific Performance Lingenfelters |

Henessey tend to avoid visual changes, instead focusing on sleeper cars running excessive horsepower counts. This one is done by Lingenfelter, who's responsible for the 900HP Corvette C5 conversions, and they don't mind making subtle body mods. But this... This just didn't pan out properly. Like I said: Right idea, wrong execution. |

It completely reminds me of one of the varients of a car called the Pheonix in a video game I've played (Saints Row 2). In fact, with the right front end, side skirt, back end and spoiler selection, it looks IDENTICAL. This is the Pheonix with the "base" body on it, but gives an idea of what I mean.

Hm, $53000? I'd take that over a BMW 1-Series or a Benz B-Class. Supercharged, in black, s'il vous plait. |
