I know i may be a long shot, but I found this baby hanging loose on my '88 2M4. It comes out of a thick bundle of factory wrapped wires between the engine and firewall, slightly closer to the drivers side of center. Dark blue wire.

That's not a factory end on that wire. Could be anything. But my
guess is it's a ground wire. That's a pretty big connection for it to be anything but a power connection. Dawg |
