Man, I love LeMons. It surprises me that the Fiero isn't more competitive in such an event.
Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.

There were too many compromises in the Fiero's suspension balance to optimize a Fiero Chassis for that kind of racing.   The 88 models should do a lot better, but it is unlikely somebody would take an 88 Fiero to Lemons.

The rules dictate a maximum of $2000 for the car to qualify for Lemons.   You could spend that on less than the suspension alone.

The Fiero has been getting a lot of love from the folks at TTAC of late.  This time in a story on the Fieros entered in LeMons.

The Fiero would ROCK at LeMons. Light, mid-engined, cheap... It's perfect.

Seems Fieros have been fast enough, but not reliable enough to last the entire race. Usually, it's been cooling issues.   Running a Fiero 24 hours seem to be a problem at LeMons. This year, however, they do have the most Fieros ever entered.
