Last week the car was acting funny.  So I started poking around and found that my MSD cap and rotor were buggered.  These parts were only 6 months old.  It looks like the graphite rod fell apart and started arcing all over once it was too short.

Hopefully it's just a case of random failures.

I went and bought another MSD set and we'll see how it goes.

Nice to find the smoking gun at least eh? I hate getting weird driveability problems!

Yup, I was pissed because it failed way too soon, but happy it was
an easy fix. Didn't even get dirty.

Peculiar, I have MSD's everything but my 'Stang and my mother's Jeep, and I've always had perfect success with them. I guess there's bound to be faulty ones though.
Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan.
