Same old story. I was coming home from hockey the other night and a tiny bambi-like deer ran out in from of me. Well, I cranked it and missed him, and when the understeer turned to oversteer it was too much and I did about 3 180s and bumped into a concrete no post with the front end, square on. I was going way slower by this time so not too bad. The damage is to the front clip and the fenders are ripped as a result of the clip pushing back into them. I have a front skin, but it's a aero where the old one is stock from the '84. Is it called a stubby??? I'd like to go to the aero, but what's involved in the way of parts? Anyway, I heard you have to change the fenders as well as the skin. I have a set of fenders so no problem there. Anything else???
Thanks in advance.

Fenders are the same, fender liners are a bit different, there is an extra triangle bit on the Aero Nose, (GT/V6 SE) That the coupe bumper pad did not have. Its a pretty easy swap, we did Lisa's from a Bumper Pad nose to an Aero nose swap in about 2hrs with guys that knew the procedure. There is impact mesh stuff in there that will need to be changed as well as the impact beam may need to be changed. I have all the related parts from my 85GT (except for the nose itself) So if you need the impact beam and or related parts they are here. Sorry to hear about your car, but glad you are fine. |

I appreciate the info and offer. I may take you up on it.I don't have a place to take it apart right now, which is ok 'cause it's good enough to drive for the moment.
