    Posted: 10 September 2008 at 11:13am

Anyone be willing to share the stock bin and/or xdf(Tunerpro) and or ecm files for an 86 se v6 4sp?

I'm going to start datalogging the 3.4 blms in order to check the tune, then move to a '7730, but it would be nice to see what the current tune is and how it's running. After I tune the stock code I can then insert the table data into the $8f code (Turbo grand prix) and add the turbo and tune later. Also I can take advantage of the well documented advantages of the '7730. Hopefully the experience of tuning the 3.4 n/a will help when the turbo setup is built.

Any help is appreciated.

I've got the .bin files for every year/model fiero, plus I've got all the TGP ones.

Would you mind shooting them off to me at aimeechay@shaw.ca?

Which tuning program do you use? Tcat, Tpro, Winbin, etc.

Do you use .ecm(s) for bin mapping or other?

Dave sent me some bins already...I believe he said you were the source.

Thanks for any info.

Files sent...

I usually use Tunercat, but have also used a few others in a pinch.

Right on. I'm trying to use tunerpro...I'll see how it goes. So no ecm or xdf files for the fiero. I'll have to look around but I'm sure it's not a common application. The bins are a good start though.

You sent me three bins, as I understand it there are different setups (Calibrations) for the $8F code which correspond to different configurations (tranny, componenets etc)and therfore broadcast (prom) codes. I haven't found a list of broadcast codes vs. configuration. I read somewhere you can sort of read the name, like the A stands for alluminum heads etc. Any idea where I can find a complete comprehensive list? I've seen lists which include the popular tuning stuff like camaro setups for tpi 305 and 350 and 4.3 extreme and all that, just no reference to the TGP.

I guess it's not that important seeing as I will be modifying it away from whatever stock code I start with, essentially creating a new broadcast code (I'll call it FOSS I think), but it would be nice to be able to tell the original config a bin was setup for at a glance.

I would have thought with all the tuners out there this would be available someplace?
