It can be more or less whatever you need it to be. Bring the supplies you need to do the job and there will be people there to help you do it. Or at the very least guide you.
Not sure where it's going to be. Maybe we can figure that out. Basically, if you need something done to your car and you'd like some advice or even just some company, show up. The Dawg |

The Nov 6th Tech session has been canceled. There were several reasons for this, first off was the weather. No one really wants to stand around in the rain and tinker with cars for fun. 2nd was lack of interest, I only saw 3-4 people post on the forum with interest in the event. I am guessing that the lack of interest was due to reason 1. 3rd was location, no one really came forward to host the event, and unfortunately I have a family responsibility on that day which would leave me with a very short day. At the Nov 13th club meeting, we will discuss an alternate day and location. We will also need to hammer out the Christmas party dates and times and start on a 2011 Calendar of events. David |

Well, to be honest, trying to set up an outdoor tech session in November is a recipe for disaster IMHO. It's just too late in the year. If it's not raining, then it's possible it's going to be cold/frosty. We can discuss at the club meeting what month might be more appropriate.

We have always in the past done one in late October early November before the first major freezes hit. Just to give people a chance to use an Antifreeze tester and maybe do a an oil change to a thinner grade, grease all the ball joints to make sure that there is no water in them and hopefully to keep water out of them. Water freezing in a ball joint will kill them almost overnight. I still hope we can find a date where it is not raining. If its just cold people can wear gloves and extra layers of clothes. |

if weather holds i would be up for hosting on sunday the 14th (saturdays not working for me right now). we could do any last minute planning the night before at the meeting. as usual we would need the "pros" (you know who you are) to show up, otherwise its not really a tech session, just an excuse to change your fluids on some else's drive way (har) Glenn

Geez, when I first read your post Glenn, I thought you had said... "otherwise its not really a tech session, just an excuse to exchange your fluids on some else's drive way..." I had some scary visions of a club tech day that will forever be burned into my memory!

OH MY............. SCARRED FOREVER HUH? Seriously- fluid CHANGES welcome, but it would be better if we could do a brake bleed session- i have a front 88 set and rear 86 set to do, and a suspension/balljoint etc evaluation clinic would be a great idea- any one want to put on a seminar? Doc ???????? (how was your first day at work?) fluid exchanges ? by express written permission only (send photos)
