Rob and I worked on his 87 notch back this afternoon.  I had an extra computer and starter from our recent engine swap.  We put everything in and I plugged into the computer port to check it out.  It was happy, so we turned her over and it started right up!  Good old Duke.

Within minutes it was idling.  Rob is going to do an oil and filter and then see if it moves.  Then do a huge burn out!......right?

Gotta get him ready for Arlington....

Apparently, done at the dealer.  Special local dealer package I'm told.

Would be interesting to confirm somehow.

In eleven years of looking at thousands of pictures of Fieros at Pennock's, I have never ever seen a Fiero with those vents in that location. But ya never know...

Oh, I like hood vents as well, just not there on a Fiero. Totally non-functional. But hey, I'm digging the stripes!

The strips unless painted on look like they came from FieroSails.  http://fierosails.com/decal.html  Pauls kits were very popular 5-10 years ago and are still popular today.  The vents though, I have never seen in my life and trust me I have seen a lot of Fiero's.  I don't think any dealer would have placed them on the hood like that.  These cars have been around for 20 odd years now so who knows what people have done in that time frame.

Especially when you consider they're not even!
(looks it in the photo anyhow)

Sight across the front edge of each one.  They're staggered.

They match the heads of the longitudinal-mounted V8 underneath.

Just an illusion, they line up in person.  The wide stripes are painted on and the thin ones are tape.

Hi , yes i had questions about these fake vents as well. I came accross a retired mechanic who used to work at Gold Key and he thought they were a soprt package or something, by hay you guys have seen way more of these cars then i ever will. If I took the off, how do you fill the holes in thid type of material?

Aw heck, don't take them off on our account. We're just having some fun. They're fine! They make your Fiero distinctive.
