Well, you've seen this picture in the other thread...
Shall I tell the guy to go ahead with this "new" design for a total of 15, all in the same color (which is now BOTH red & black!)? Just a simple reply of "Yes" (or no!) and the quantity you want will suffice (just to save clutter in the thread). Thanks!!! edit: I've told the guy to go ahead with the 15 looking like the above prototype. If I don't get hit with any fees at the border, it should still be 10-11cdn per unit. |

From the guy making them: You should get them out by the middle of this coming week, around the 29th (if not sooner). I was rolling with them, and had 11 done, and CRASH, my machine broke down. I got it fixed (to the tune of $1700 and being broke down for 6 days), and I'm ready to finish your order. Sorry for the delay, won't be too much longer though. Thanks Jim -------------------------------------------- From me: |

Nice!
I just went back to the original thread to check some stuff and saw that the machinist said that he would do the Pegasus if he could get a big enough image of it to work with. It occured to me that the 84 or 86 FSMs have pretty big images on the front that someone could do a high-DPI scan of for a second run of these. That is, if he doesn't consider Fieros bad luck now. I'd definitely be in for a second one with the Pegasus on it. |

Heh... well, at least he DID say "here is only one of these wing nuts available in this auction. This was the prototype of a new design, and it's the only one of this design I'm going to sell." |

Well - day before the meeting, and they're still not here.
He says they shipped back around aug 25th, but... they probably got detained at customs for questioning or something. And they're tough nuts, so they're not talking. I still won't take payment for them until they're IN HAND (namely - YOUR hand!). (oh yeah, and I shrunk the picture way up top so all the messages fit better!) |

Minor "maybe update".
I got a parcel delivery notice on my door when I was at work today. Seeing as I'm not expecting anything else.... this could be "them"! I'll report back tomorrow. |

I've got my nuts in my hands!
Wait... let me rephrase that.... They're here! They look even better than the picture too (nice change). They're smaller in diameter than I thought (phew!) - roughly the size of an alarm keyfob (well, mine anyhow!). He shipped them Aug 29th. They (could have) arrived yesterday. After the cost of the units, postage, and the customs crap, the per unit cost will now be: $12cdn per unit. I'll be in/out all weekend, or if you can't make it here I'll bring them to the October meeting (though that is now quite a ways off!). |
