Im not gunna get into all the details, but basically, i dont have the money complete all the plans i had made for my 87 GT, so im selling and trying something different. Perhaps ill come back to fieros when im making more money, but now's not the time. Anyways, the point of this post was to get impressions on what i could possibly get for my 87 GT this time of year. Idealy id like to wait till spring to sell, and get more, but in all likely hood ill need to sell asap to get something for winter.  So here are the specs of my fiero. Its an 87 GT 2.8/getrag 5spd. Body is a 8.5/10 Interior is 9/10 and engine is probably a 8/10. The interior is in great shape, no sagging headliner, no cracked dash etc. Exterior is great, except there are 2x 2mm rock chips on the decklid and a dime sized blemish on the front ground effects. Engine ran great when put away last winter. 5spd still shifts great, never been beaten on at all.  Here are a few pics:

these are those small chips on the decklid:

No pics of the other blemish that i can find.

These pictures were taken last spring, i took her out of her slumber for the day and cleaned her up. This is how she looked when she went back into the garage. She's in the same condition, just a little dustier :P  Thoughts on possible value? Id obviously get her running before selling.

edit: Oh, you can see the blemish i was talking about, in the 2nd picture on the grey ground effects.

Due to season, current market, current state of the economy, I'd say $3000-$4000 lower end if you are in a hurry to sell.   However it is an 87GT V6 5spd, which is exactly the car people want when they are looking for, a good condition, nice runner, I've seen that car sell for $6000 and frankly, in all honesty its worth $6000 to the right buyer, in the right economy, however right now is just a bad time to sell a Fiero.  Its a toy, its an Extra thing.  Right now people are holding off on the toys.   Now if you find the right buyer, someone that has cash to burn, you might get higher than expected.

Doesn't hurt to post it on the craigslist though. You certainly can't lose.

What, you've asked hundreds of "How to...?" and "What if...?" type questions at Pennock's (and to a lesser degree, here) and now you're going to sell instead?

That's an unfortunate development.

haha ya i know. i had lots of plans in my head for my "dream fiero", but when i really thought about it, it wasnt a logical thing to dump $6000+ into. the great thing is that they are cheap enough that i can get one in a few years when im making more money.until then i just need something practical and reliable.

Where's the challenge in that?

Yeah, lots of times I question my sanity when it comes to the (multiple) acquisition of these cars.
