I am getting the bug already...lol...other than UBC, I will certainly post any details from VCMC, BMW & Porche events in for Mission track days...details below:

Well it’s that time of the year again! UBCSCC is excited to announce that with the overwhelming success of last year’s track days, we will be bringing three dates at Mission to our membership in 2009.

Mission Raceway Date #1: Wednesday, May 6th
Registration opens: Sunday, April 5th
Registration closes: Sunday, April 26th

Mission Raceway Date #2: Monday, June 1st
Registration opens: Sunday, May 3rd
Registration closes: Sunday, May 24th

Mission Raceway Date #3: Monday, July 6th
Registration opens: Sunday, June 7th
Registration closes: Sunday, June 28th

We will be changing the format slightly to enhance the experience for all those at our track days. We will be going from four run groups to three which will equate to a substantial increase in track time. This year, each track day will be limited to 36 participants at a cost of $225 each. Like last year, all those participating will need to be 2009-2010 UBCSCC members in good standing. Each run group will have just shy of 2 hours on track, broken up into 4 sessions, starting at 9am and ending at 4pm. We will also have a one hour lunch break where we will have complementary pizza, water, and pop available to all those participating.

I also will mention that the track days this year will be a little different from the year before. Last year was our first year running the days and we were working hard to learn the ropes. Track days are a lot of fun and we are excited to keep running them, however, safety and liability are priorities for the club and as such, there will be rules. This year, the rules will be clear, well-defined, and enforced. In advance of registration, a comprehensive set of supplemental regulations will be posted.

This is an informational thread, NOT a signup thread for any of the three dates. Signup will be like last year, by Karelo, with registration opening on the dates listed above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here.

Regards,
Mark
