Couldn't seem to find an official thread so here is one, post away!

http://www.captfiero.com/arlington2k9/

Just applied for my passport last week, it'll be tight but I should get it just in time.  Hey Clynt I saw your Burgandy Fiero in Richmond at the Passport office when I was getting mine done.  You were parked a few stalls over from me but didn't see you.

I can't believe I did not post it here, I posted the info everywhere else, all the email lists, even a thread on PFF.  I guess I just assumed I had posted it here.  Yikes

JUNE 6th 2009 Saturday

6:00am-6:15am

We will meet at the Tim Horton's just East of the Corner of HWY 10 and 152nd Street in Surrey at that time we will all check our Radio's and set all radios to channel 20 sub channel 0.    If you have spare GMRS radio's please bring them as it would be nice to see a radio in every car.  MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD BATTERIES.  Most people grab coffee and a pop while we look over the cars.

Special Note, if you have Extra Radio's.   Please bring them.   I want to make sure that everyone gets at least one.

VOX IS NOT PERMITTED ON THE DRIVE.  If your radio has VOX capability Please do not use it.  VOX is the  Voice Activated portion of some Radios.  It might be great in the forest, but in a car on the highway with cabin noise, and wind and stereos they have a tendency to activate the radio and lock out anyone else from talking.

6:30am we will leave and head for the border Crossing at 176th street..  Make sure to have your birth certificate and or Passport with your drivers license with you.

After we all clear customs we will regroup at the Chevron on the left side of the street just across the boarder for those that wish to fill up with the cheaper American fuel.  Then I-5 and Jet City watch out here we come.

That's pretty much it till we get to Arlington

8:45am Arrive at Arlington

Take exit 206 and head east about 3-4 blocks to a Food Mart there will be a grocery store on the right, where we can buy picnic supplies.

Money from the Club Funds pays for our basic food and drinks.  If you want a 10oz T-Bone.  Ya better Buy anything you want specialty grilled IE steaks and sauces.  The club will be buying, hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, salad, condiments, pop and water.   This entire procedure usually takes about an hour.

We will then caravan to the ultra light air field for the actual picnic

The picnic starts at 10am

Sorry the title is a bit fubar, it wouldn't let me write it out all the way.

{if I have screwed anything up on the post please speak up and let me know, I don't want any screwed up details}

Its that time of year again.  Yep the HUGE Arlington Fiero Picnic is coming up quicker than you can believe.  June 6th 2009 is the date set for the show this year.  Get your cars cleaned up, Cameras Charged Up and Coolers cleared out.

Pics from Last Year are here, http://www.westcoastfieros.com/arlington2k8gallery

The Arlington Washington Fiero Picnic plans are underway we just getting the final tid bits fallen into place, Oregon, Washington and British Columbia guys, and anyone else that wants to come, Get your car cleaned up and drive.

http://arlington.westcoastfieros.com     <<<< Just a heads up if you are running Windows 7 or a Beta version of IE, you will need to load the site in compatibility mode.   This only affects people using Pre Release versions of Internet Explorer 8 64bit and I think some 32bit variants.

To get you even more Fired up, here is a Video made by Steve Simpson from last years shows.  Kickin Video of Arlington 2007
However here are the basic Details.

The location is the Arlington Washington Ultralight Airfield. 4796 188th St NE, Arlington, WA 98223
Jet City Fiero's is providing the grounds, and the BBQ's as well as the Crane to take overhead pics of the cars.

You need to bring food and drinks for yourself and your guests.  Please leave the booze at home.  This is a family event, and we don't want to have to deal with any legal matters drinking booze at an airport on the airfield.

10am till whenever we decide to call it quits, usually around 4pm.   This is a great Fiero event, with lots and lots of cars every year.

If you are coming from B.C. or anyplace North of Arlington please visit the above Web page for details on when and where to meet us and caravan down with us.   I need people to email me there name and car(s) so that I can forward everyone to Steve to be added to the list of attendee's.   There is a link for form submittal or you can email me directly at capt@captfiero.com and I'll forward it on to Steve aka FourPoint9 here on the forum.

If you could also post here if you are coming or not that would be Awesome. The more people see that people are coming the more people want to come and we end up lots more people.  Its Great!!   I would like us to top 60 Fiero's this year.  I know we can do it.

This is simply an awe struck event each year, with loads of cars, it is not a SHOW so if you think your Fiero is too hard done, and not a show car, that just means you'll fit right in.  This is a FUN event to get together and chat.

Yes we were on an Airfield, and this guy kept buzzing in on us.  Was kinda neat to watch him do touch and go's all day.

Well its about 2am and  Whew, all loaded.  By the time I made it home it was nearly 10pm, and had still not washed my car, Lisa got met eh house and I washed it in the dark, kinda curious as to well I did when I look at it in the morning.

We have the full size BBQ, the condiments table, knifes, forks spoons, napkins. Ketchup, Relish and Mustard.   We will be getting the rest while we are down there. 6ftx6ft x 8ft canopy, loaded as well.

For anyone coming off of Trans Canada at the 152nd street exit, Lisa and I are leaving here at 5:30am stopping at the McDonald's on 152nd street across from Guildford Mall, then going all the way down 152 and Hwy 10.

If the boarder is not horrid would might be able to make Arlington for 9am.

On the drive down we will make one rest stop to regroup at a rest area.
