Not mine but I wish it was:

I e-mailed the seller and received this info:

Quote The car is in my son's name and he has owned since it was new. I
have all the papers filled out and signed he still lives on Hornby Island. It
is from Vancouver and Hornby Islands. The hood, headlights and front
fenders were replaced as a result of the accident. The engine has a new
crankshaft, new camshaft (RV), all new bearings, lifters etc. The reason
that the engine had to be rebuilt was that the crankshaft had failed, from
my understanding it's not an uncommon problem with the original
crankshafts. As far as the underbody is concerned it looks to be in very
good condition. The only serious blemish that I know of is the from
bumper which I did. It rolled down the driveway and hit the tow hitch of
my truck, I'm told it is very repairable and probably in the $200 range.    I
can get more pictures but they will reveal little as the front and rear
baggage compartments are in fine shape. There is some mildew stains
on the headliner because I left it out for part of the winter and the heater
got unplugged for a month or so. It is not insured at this time but I could
get some daily insurance if you're going to be over this way.

The car is in Cobble Hill on Vancouver Island.

Not painted like an 88. I wonder if they had it repainted or if he has the year wrong.

Yeah weird on the colors!

But...  the under hood shot IS an '88.
You can see the relationship of the strut towers to the bracket, and you can just barely make out the 'tin foil' cover on the crossover pipe.

Ad text does say it was in an accident - maybe they had it all repainted?

Maybe or perhaps he just liked the look of the two-tone. When I bought
my 86, the P/O had repainted it all one colour to look like an 88!
