Hi fellows,  My name is Michael James.  Some may know me from the Arlington picnic...the last few years...?  i belong to the Jet City Fiero club, but live to far away to be active.  I have a red '86 GT which I did a 3.4 swap a couple of years ago, and like it very much.  It's a late run '86 with all the '87 options, so looks like an '87.  I won 1st in custom class at the 2011 NW Fiero Fest.  I live 6-miles SE of Lynden, WA so thought I might like to get active with your club, so I can join in the activities, etc.  Hope to make it out to the Sept. mtg.  i'm making a 2nd trip to southern CA, July 15th, in my Fiero for my daughter's wedding.  Will take 101 coast rout this time, and drive slower.  i took the I-5 rout in February, and cruised at between 85-90 and passed at 110-20, and she had more.  One problem though was gas mileage!  I averaged about 26 mpg. and believe I can do lots better with a computer chip upgrade designed for the 3.4!  Can any of you recommend a place to get a chip up-grade for my ECM?  look foreward to meeting you all some day soon!  Michael James

Do you post on Pennock's? If so, what's your username there?

I've travelled the coast highway a couple of times over the years down through Oregon and California. It's a much nicer drive than I-5. You'll love it.
