so i have had a red notchie 85 gt die-cast fiero for quite some time . i went to c&g collectables in langley (i think its called that ) and i know the guy working there he says "hey i got something here for you "He pulls out an 85 notchie  gt in silver ...... i got it for $34.99 cool find but a little dissapointed thay they no longer had the 84 glue together modle that i had forgot about .Oh yea its a YAT MING 1:18 scale

I have the silver yat ming 85gt myself.  I actually won it at a club prize draw that Kris Duck set up a few years ago.  There are several glue together models out there.  I know there use to be a site that had all the models listed.  I will see if I can find it and post it here.

Took me a bit of searching but here is the list of Fiero Model Kits.

 

Fiero Model Kits

Since it looks like I'm collecting Fiero model kits, I thought I'd catalog what I have, what's noteworthy about some of them, and take a picture of the box to identify them more easily.

If you know of or find any kit not listed here, please drop me a line!

MPC/Ertl #6309 Fiero ("replaces 1-0778"), 1/25

  • Molded in silver-grey
  • Pontiac wheels + custom 8 spoke wheels
  • Decals: Fiero Hood Crest + bold stripes
  • Customizeable: IMSA wide fenders, front spoiler, rear deck spoiler, over-the-roof scoop, Recaro seats, carburated V6 engine
  • Inconsistency: 85 hump on rear deck, but 84 engine grilles

MPC/Fundimensions Fiero #1-0715, 1/25

  • Molded in black
  • Pontiac wheels + custom 8 spoke wheels
  • Decals: gold stripes, windshield sticker
  • Virtually identical to #6309, except 8 spoke wheel have been replaced with Pontiac's 84 rally spoke wheels

Monogram '85 Fiero GT, 1/24

  • Molded in bright red
  • Pontiac wheels only
  • Front hood does not open (1 piece body)
  • Tinted glass, Indy type scoop
  • Makes for a great 1984 Pace Car, except for the V6 engine
  • Inconsistency: Manual transmission, but Automatic shift lever

MPC/Ertl #6401 Fiero GT, 1/25

  • Molded in red
  • Pontiac Diamond spoke wheels + custom wide wheels
  • Decals: red stripes, misc. mfg. logos
  • Customizeable: Tires/Wheels, L4/V6

MPC/Ertl #6227 1988 Fiero GT, 1/25

  • Molded in ?
  • Pontiac Diamond spoke wheels + custom wide wheels
  • Decals: wide red stripes
  • Customizeable: Tires/Wheels, L4/V6
  • Repackaged #6401, with "1988" Banderole around box

MPC #0883 1984 Fiero, 1/25

  • Molded in red

Ive got a red '85 GT Yat Ming model. Maybe I'll take some pics of it tommorow. I bought it on ebay a few years ago.

Id love to get my hands on one of those '88 GT kits. Anyone know where to get one?

We have a Black Wired Remote Control Fiero and a Silver Wired Remote Control Fiero.  as well.  I really should get pics of them.

I have two kits and just have not had time to build them...if there is anyone interested I may sell...I was pretty excited to buy these off ebay last year at $50US each almost...lol, do you think you can find a GT die-cast...NOT!.

No I have not yet...interested?, I might sell them.  Both kits are complete so you can do a modified and stock version...I may get to it sometime in life, the fastbacks are hard to find

They are both the same...one in the package, the other missing decals...let me think about what I would ask, almost guilty to sell for what I paid...but man did I fight in the sution for it...maybe email with an offer?

Yes I have my 88GT but to me, the image of a Fiero will always be a Notchback.  The first Fiero's were notchbacks the 84 Indy Fiero that started the craze was a notchback, the first GT was a notchback, regardless of the fact that public opinion has always been slanted towards the fastback being the nicer car, for me, I really like a nice notchy.

We just finished off doing a 1980 El Camino for me dad, shaved the door handles, Licance plate, moulded the bumpers etc.
