Topic: Looking for a decent project fiero. Posted: 15 August 2013 at 10:34pm |
So its been about 4 years since I sold my fiero, and I regret it every day. Im in the market for an 86-88 v6/5spd or auto, GT would be ideal, but not picky on the body style. Running would be best, but if the price is right, and its not too far away, Id take a non-runner if the body is in great shape. Im looking to not spend more than $2000 for a running car. Ive been scowering craigslist on a daily basis, but im hoping someone may know of a sale that isn't listed online.
Hope i can get back into the fiero scene soon. Ive had a few decent cars since I sold it, but nothing has lived up to the feel that car gave me. Edited by kawana |

I was going to ask $500 but my mothers Fiero needs
tires/wheels. So I am going to swipe the tires and wheels from it, and put on her stock 14" Fiero Mags with good rear tires but bad front tires. It runs and will move under its own power but the water pump needs to be installed. I have already bought the new pump its in the trunk. I'll take 250 as is where is. It has a new 5spd Transaxle, new clutch, new exhaust, and lots of great parts. Even if you bought it and parted it out you could double your money. She is a great candidate for a V8 or other swap. http://captfiero.com/newproject Fixed Link I had intentions of fixing the pump and putting it on Craigslist for 1200 to a student. Then due to life and me being in Oregon I was going to toss it for $500 and now that I need the tires, $250 takes it away. FYI, the 4cyl V6 exhaust could be sold for $200 buy itself to a duke owner looking for a bit better exhaust. You could always cut off the Cross Over and use it on a V6 if you so choose. Seems like a great deal. Where is it located? The plan is to do a 3.8sc swap at some point, with an 88 cradle. Is there anything about the 4cyl cars that would make the swap any more difficult that swapping into a 6cyl car? Also, how is the underside looking for rust? Anything major? All that aside, I may just take you up on this.

The car is located at my place in Surrey. I am going to be up around the 21st in BC for a few days so pickup should be arranged for then. However if you are ready now, you have been a long time member, I don't mind you picking it up now and we can deal with the paperwork later when I get there.

I'm about to pull the cradle from an '88 coupe parts car before the car is sent off for scrap. It's currently located in Abbotsford. I had a helluva time getting this car up here from the States, so I'm not going to give the cradle away. If you're interested, PM me and let me know what it's worth to you (with or without rear suspension components).

PM's sent. On a related note, can anyone recommend a good towing company?

I spoke with Ryan regarding towing and he will get back to me to let me know for sure if he can do it, however he said if he can swing it, he would be about 160 to tow it from Surrey to Abbotsford. It would be loaded onto a Flat Deck car trailer and towed with his Pickup. Then dropped where ever you need it.

Patrick.. I can hear you say "I told you so..." [anyone curious should know... I did not understand how much in demand a clean, complete 88 cradle was] |
