If I'm not mistaken brother, did the Fiero not come stock with a 205/215 staggered set-up? I had thought when Patrick and I were discussing this very topic, we had found it did. Perhaps I'm mistaken. Enjoy the car in the mean time brother, looks very fine!

What did you do with the old wheels and tires. That black
on white scheme looked really nice in those pics, They
kinda look like stock 14" Fiero wheels, I may have a
project to do soon, LOL. Just got to find white letter
tires.

Ok but back to the car, that is a sharp looking car, I
am assuming its a 4cyl 5spd either an 87 or 88?

yes capt.fiero i painted the stock wheel but they only look good in the pic. they kind of look sh*tty in real..  and they are stock 14 .

thats a 88 tech4 .  coming up project soon. i will be pull the engine out and rebuild . i will set up the engine same as the indy 500 fiero tech4 engine. will be over 200 HP plus NoS system will go in..

that way i willl keep the car in 50/50 stock setup. better than putting a V8 into it. plus i don;t need to get reinspection.

i have a part car 84 fiero . i will put that tires into my part car . so the orange fiero for car show and the part car for daily driving in summer.

Unless you're referring to an SD4 (Super Duty) engine, any duke putting out that kind of power will blow the first time you put your foot into it.

This is what you need...

God what a sexy motor...

But yes, Patty has a point, a Duke will need a serious bottom end build to take those kinds of figures. You'd be making 80HP/Litre in a motor that was built with less that 50HP/Litre in mind.

200hp reliably is barley feasible on the V6, the 4 banger
starts to explode at anything close to 150hp. Even to
match the 140hp of the stock V6 it will cost you thousands
of dollars.   Building a duke motor is just not recommended.

Or, if you're asking what the Duke is, it's a nickname commonly given to the 2.5L inline four. It's short for the Iron Duke.

As has been said though, you're treading dangerous waters trying to build it up to 200 ponies.

140 horse power from an iron duke was standard for the marine version with a two barrel carb!!!!!!!!!!!

would run my 3000 pound  boat at 3900 rpm all day long (4100rpm was wide open throttle, full out)

And marine engines are always cast with thicker walls. Hence why a marine 350 can be safely bored .060 over, whereas an automotive 350 was safe at .030.

Any duke (originally from a Fiero) built up to an actual 180 HP will come with the standard 30 feet or 30 second guarantee, whichever occurs first.

Don't say we didn't warn you!
