He may seem like a fool (or otherwise as posted by the Capt) now, but in a few years time, I don't think it will be that far off. Come to Abbotsford, I see one almost every day and a new one almost every week. (For the past 10 months) There are very few modern cars that will justify a greater re-sell value than their original selling price. If a Fiero becomes one of those vehicles it will have to be a Fiero in excellent shape. A Fiero that is a POS isn't worth much of anything and that will likely never change. And all you have to do is travel outside the lower mainland to find that most people don't care much about the average Fiero. ------------- I wanna go fast. |

Oh, I'm not saying this gentleman in particular knows what he's doing, but the basic law of supply and demand usually enters in to automotive market. A 1965 Mustang would sticker at $4000 with a few options ticked off. I've seen many 1965 Mustang's go for well past the $100000 mark these days. I think as the number of usuable Fieros goes down, all Fieros' value will rise accordingly, especially those in a well-maintained condition. ------------- Never shift into reverse without a back-up plan. |

 Couldn't agree more. I remember when you couldn't even give those old muscle cars away and now look at what's going on. I think the days of the $1500 GT's in good shape are going to become fewer and farther between. Fiero guys in general are rather cheap so it's going to take a while for the reality of it to set it in. But I think the value can only go up as the quantity goes down. Not to mention the occasional crazyness the 86.5-88 GT's command on eBay which seems to (slightly) effect the market standards. |
