Hey, I know this is kinda out there for most people, but has anyone tried water injection on a Fiero? For those of you who haven't heard of it, water injection injects either pure water, or a water/methanol mix into the intake allowing for massive compression ratios or large turbos to be used, without causing pre-detonation. Now, as you can imagine, the cost of putting in a little bit of water in is miniscule (Far cheaper than buying racing gasoline) yet allows for generous increases in power (Due to the extreme compression ratios, or for allowing for higher boost amounts).

Going back to original topic, has anyone tried doing this on a Fiero?

On a stock one?  Pointless pretty much.

Got boost?  water/meth is a GREAT way to go.

I guess there's no stroker kits or anything for the Fiero, hm?

Yes Stroker kits, there are a few different options.   However you are not going to have any massive compression ratio requirements.  Unless you did a balls out 3.4 and even that will be only 11-1.  Actually wait a min, there is a 12.5-1 piston swap for the 2.8 but will cost you double what simply installing a bigger newer engine will cost ya.

And if you DID go the 12.5:1, you better not ever run out of the meth mix - since it'll no longer be optional!

You'll also need a pretty stout cam, so you can kiss EFI goodbye.

And at that point...  you've stuffed sooooo much money into it...  Well, see Daves last sentence.
