Hey everyone...
I'm going to need to order some stuff up from TFS it looks like (since we can no longer get Prothane locally in a timely manor).
If there's a few of us that need various stuff, it'll be worth it to get it sent up UPS Express (which is fast, and gets around that stupid brokerage fee they charge on the standard service) if we split the shipping up.
I'll place the order tomorrow around 12-1pm Wednesday the 12th.
So, if there's something you're wanting, please email me a list of TFS numbers. Assuming it's not an outrageously expensive part I'll just pay for them up front and collect cash off you when you pick up/meet up/etc.
I'm going to cross post this to the mailing list....
edit: ouch. our 'little list' has just broken the thousand dollar mark....

Order so far is shipping only @ ~$172, split 4 ways.
Be nice to get a few more people in the mix! Then it'll be cheaper than going the slowest method.

I need a few things. A new coolant overflow tank comes to mind. Let me do some shopping first and I'll get back to you in 1/2hr or so.

I rushed this too much!
I'll place the order tomorrow (Wednesday) to give everyone a chance.
I wasn't even thinking that a lot of people are in school or at work
when I posted.
Ok, well anyhow, that's 3 of us split shipping now. Anyone else?

I've sent in a preliminary order already so they can start getting it in place to ship today. I can still add to it though, for the next few hours.

Sigh.... Just when things were looking so fast....
It's 6:45pm now.
It SEEMS that a package has the ability to move 4000 miles in 15 hours, until it hits lower mainland traffic (or air, or something) which results in it coming to a dead halt somewhere.
The depot on annacis is about a 5 minute drive from here (I've been there). So - somehow it's been 10 hours since it left there, and it's still not here. I realize I'm not the ONLY package on that truck, but, come on!!!

just out of curiosity how big was the order and much was shipping/duty?

How big? About 12*12*48". Shipping was a bit over $100. No duty, since it's US made auto parts (NAFTA thing).
2pm today it arrived. I guess the thick BC air caused it to take 29 hours to move the trip from Annacis to my place.
Oh well, whatever - it was all in the box. Would have been REALLY pissed if it was broken open and something went missing, or they forgot one of the many many small parts....

I think the 29 hours, part of it was getting it past Canada Customs officials to assess GST (and PST?)

Nope. That's all predone while it's in transit with this service.
The package was out for delivery, the driver failed to pick it up. Spoke
with the depot manager. She said next time if I want even faster, to
have held for pickup, then I can just run across the bridge and grab it
from them.
